Many courts, both state and federal, have their own pattern jury instructions. Often these instructions are available for free on the court's website. It may be necessary to consult additional model jury instructions to complement the pattern instructions. These may be found in subject specific sets of jury instructions, encyclopedic sets of instructions, or in litigation practice treatises.
