The library is dedicated to supporting the members of Northwestern Law's six student-run journals. Each journal is assigned a library liaison—a reference librarian who will be the primary contact in the library for that journal's board. The journal liaisons are:
The library obtains sources needed for journals' source and cite assignments. The library created the Law Journals' Guide to Source & Cite to help journal members locate and obtain library materials.
Reference librarians are available to assist members with identifying sources and interpreting citations when completing assignments. Librarians are available virtually at https://askplrc.law.northwestern.edu/ or you can email questions to law-reference@law.northwestern.edu.
The reference librarians can also help members who will be writing notes with preemption and locating relevant sources. The library created the Writing a Law Journal Note or Comment guide to get members started.
Reference librarians are available at the reference desk during the library's reference desk hours. Note authors can also request an appointment with a reference librarian to discuss their note topics.
