A description of library services provided to Northwestern Pritzker School of Law faculty.

Course Reserves

Course materials can be placed on reserve at the Circulation Desk. In general the library does not purchase and put course textbooks on reserve. Material from the library's collection, instructors' personal copies of books, print copies of articles, and videos may be placed on reserve behind the library circulation desk for students.

Requests for materials to be placed on course reserve should be sent to Candice Jones, Circulation Services Manager.  Please include your name, complete course name, and complete citations.

When placing materials on reserve, please give the library adequate time to process the request. The library reserves the right to refuse to put material on reserve if doing so would violate copyright law.

The library maintains a password protected database of past exams that is available only to current law students. The complete historical archive of exams has been scanned and posted, and current submissions are posted within two business days.  Questions regarding the past exams archive can be directed to Vanessa Sowka.  Please include the complete course name and date.

Research Instruction

Our experienced and talented research librarians provide numerous services to faculty, students, and staff members. In addition to helping with basic legal research and reference questions, our librarians are available to create research guides and to provide individualized research lectures in substantive courses.   Questions about research support for law courses can be directed to faculty library liaisons.
