This trusted study aid series offers concise yet comprehensive insights, guiding law students through intricate legal concepts with real-world examples and detailed explanations.

Examples & Explanations (E&Es) is one of the most popular study guides. This guide includes links to E&Es for 1L courses. The library also has physical copies of E&Es for most subjects.

Glannon Guides are designed to supplement classroom lecture with straightforward explanations of concepts with hypos that help you understand their application. Each concept is illustrated by a multiple choice question with a thorough explanation of the answer.

Each chapter to this guide is begins with an overview. Other elements of the chapter include FAQs give straight answers to questions and clear up common mistakes and misconceptions, sidebars offer insights, study tips, and practice pointers, and step-by-step analyses demonstrate how to apply the material. End-of-chapter summaries provide quick review guides.

CALI

CALI has over 1,000 computer-based, interactive tutorials that cover narrow topics of law encompassing 1L and upper-level courses. Each lesson is broken into short reading sections broken up by multiple-choice questions and a short-answer question at the end.

West Study Aids

The Acing series uses a checklist format to fully analyze the legal questions they are trying to resolve. It assembles the different issues, presenting a clear guide to procedural analysis, and offers a systematic approach to problem solving.

This series offers a concise yet thorough exploration of key legal principles and doctrines. These guides provide analysis to enhance their understanding of complex legal concepts across various subject areas, with a focus on comprehensive preparation for examinations and practical application in legal practice.

Concise Hornbooks focus on core principles and concepts. They feature concise analyses of basic areas of law and are written by prominent legal scholars. West Learning Library also publishes hornbooks, which go into much greater depth. You can find hornbooks either online or in the library's study aid collection.

This series is designed to facilitate the introduction of international, transnational, and comparative law issues by serving as a companion text to accompany any of the basic casebooks. The materials are drawn from a variety of common law and civil law systems and the chapters can be used in any combination and in any order.

Nutshells provide a succinct explanation of the law written by experts.

The library has physical copies of Nutshells in the study aid collection behind the circulation desk.

The Short and Happy Guides aim to help students see the big picture of areas of law. True to their name, they attempt a lighter tone.

Other Study Aids Available in the Library

The books in this series provide extensive coverage of the most important United States Supreme Court cases, federal statutes, lower federal and state court cases, and regulations. They include citations to important scholarship to help students expand and refine their research on specific topics. These are only available in physical form in the library's study aids section.
