Government Structure

Panama is a presidential republic with an executive, legislative, and judicial branch. Panama has a civil law system. 

Panama has ten provinces: Bocas del Toro, Chiriqui, Cocle, Colon, Darien, Herrera, Los Santos, Panama, Panama Oeste, and Veraguas  and four Indigenous regions: Embera-Wounaan, Guna Yala, Naso Tjer Di, and Ngabe-Bugle.

National Language

Spanish is the official language of Panama. Most legal materials are available only in Spanish.
