The NUPrint service has now been replaced with a new Managed Print Service (MPS). The new service branding is Northwestern Print and provides unified print services across both campuses for faculty, staff, and students. Northwestern University is partnering with Ricoh USA to implement this service. Ricoh devices will provide print, copy and scanning functionality.

What’s Changing 

Reduced printing costs. 

• Black and white printing - $ .03 per page (double-sided or single-sided) 
• Color printing - $ .10 per page 

The Northwestern Print program offers new features, including: 

• Additional printers throughout the university will be available to students. 
• Touchless print job release—tap to print with Wildcards or from mobile devices using QR codes. 
• Convenient print options include mobility print and web print.
• Cash will no longer be an option in Northwestern Print. 

After Pritzker Law’s Subsidy (Law School Quota) if additional funds are needed for Northwestern Print, use the GET app to add funds to your Cat Cash account on your wildcard.  

How to Print

Students currently have three ways to print.

(1) Mobility Print (Preferred Method) (You will need to install software)

• Set up Printing on your Mac
• Set up Printing for Windows
• Set up Printing for a SmartPhone
• After you have installed one of the print drivers above Mobility Print allows NU students to install up to two print queues that will allow you to print to Northwestern Print from your laptop or mobile device. These queues default to duplex but can be changed to single-sided if required. The two queues are:
  • StudentPay-BW-Duplex [Virtual Queue]
  • StudentPay-Color-Duplex [Virtual Queue]

(2) WebPrint (No software installation needed)

(3) Using the computers in the Pritzker Legal Research Center - Library Reference Center.
