Government Structure

Greece has a parliamentary republic system of government, which is based on separation of powers into three branches, though the President of the Republic is a member of both the executive and legislative branches. 

  • Legislative power: Parliament + President of the Republic
  • Executive power: President of the Republic + Government 
  • Judicial power: courts of law 

National Language

Greek is the official language of Greece. Most legal materials are available only in Greek.
